2026 National Risk Assessment

The public version of the 2026 National Risk Assessment (NRA 2026) has been published. The document provides a comprehensive evaluation of the money laundering and terrorist financing risks affecting the national system and serves as a key reference for the application of the risk-based approach by competent authorities and reporting entities.

The NRA 2026 presents an integrated assessment of the main threats, vulnerabilities and risks identified, incorporating a sector-specific analysis across the areas subject to the AML/CFT framework. The report helps identify areas of higher exposure, assess emerging risk trends and support the adoption of proportionate preventive and mitigation measures.

The assessment was prepared with the participation of the competent public authorities in each relevant area and representatives of the private sector, and approved by the Commission for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Monetary Offences (COPBLAC), as the outcome of a coordinated national risk assessment exercise.
