Spanish Ministry of Economy, Trade and Enterprise to Host Webinar on Terrorism Financing Risks in the Non-Profit Sector
A Webinar titled “The Risk of Terrorism Financing in the Third Sector: Misuse of NPOs and Opportunities for Action”, is aimed at raising awareness and providing guidance to Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) on how to prevent being exploited for terrorism financing.
The event will take place on June 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and will present key findings from the risk analysis published by the Treasury. The session will be opened by Lourdes Jiménez Ramos, Deputy Director General for the Inspection and Control of Capital Movements.
The program includes two panel discussions:
- “Detection, Analysis and Identification of Terrorism Financing Risks in NPOs”
- “Monitoring NPOs and Challenges Related to Terrorism Financing”
These panels will feature prominent experts from both the public and private sectors, who will discuss key issues and share insights. The webinar will conclude with remarks by Margarita Rufas, Deputy Director of Sepblac.
The session will be streamed live, and prior registration is required via the form available on the Treasury´s website. Registered participants will receive a confirmation email with the access link. Attendees may also submit questions for the speakers in advance through the registration form.
