AMLA Invites the Private Sector to Participate in Roundtables on the Implementation of Simplified Due Diligence (SDD)
The main objective is to exchange experiences and engage in discussions with obliged entities, sector associations, and other representative bodies from both the financial and non-financial sectors on how to apply Simplified Due Diligence (SDD) measures in situations involving a lower risk of money laundering and terrorist financing. AMLA is particularly interested in participation from the non-financial sector and from sectors facing specific challenges in implementing customer due diligence requirements. Although these roundtables do not constitute a formal public consultation, as a consultation on the draft guidelines will take place at a later stage, their outcomes will help shape a more coherent, effective, and proportionate European AML/CFT framework.
The meetings will be held in person in Frankfurt, Germany, between 9th November and 2nd December 2026. Expressions of interest to participate may be submitted until 18 October 2026 at 23:59 (CEST). For further information on this initiative and the objectives of the roundtables, AMLA has published a dedicated information notice.
SEPBLAC encourages all obliged entities to take an active part in this initiative, given its importance and the potential impact of its outcomes on the future European AML/CFT framework.
